Strengthening Families Program

This 14-week evidence-based family skills training program helps improve parenting skills, reduce behaviors, strengthen relationships between parent & children through increased communication and family bonding activities, and enhance school performance. The program is held one day per week 6:00PM-8:00PM and includes dinner, breakout sessions, and family time. Contact us to be added to the wait list:

Fear-Less Triple P
Helping your child aged 6-14 manage their anxiety. During this 6 week workshop, Practitioners will provide parents with the tools needed to help their child deal with moderate to severe anxiety. Topics covered include:

FEAR-LESS

Developmental Asset Workshops

Developmental Asset Training is available through the Family & Children First Council of Huron County for agencies/organizations that work with youth or community members that would like to find ways to connect with youth.
This evidence-based 4-hour training focuses on incorporating the 40 Developmental Asset information into your current curriculum and programming, with an emphasis on empowering youth.

CATCH MY BREATH:
VAPING PREVENTION WORKSHOP
CATCH My Breath is a peer-reviewed, evidence-based youth vaping prevention program developed by The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Public Health. The program provides up-to-date information to teachers, parents, and health professionals to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to make informed decisions about the use of e-cigarettes, including JUUL and disposable devices. CATCH My Breath utilizes a peer-led teaching approach and meets National and State Health Education Standards.
Ages: 10-18 Years
(Grades 5-12)
Duration: 4 Lessons
30-40 minutes each
4 versions: specific to the grade
